Iqra Academy annually proves to be one of the highest performing Girls Schools in the Country with an average of 94% of students over the last five years, gaining 5 or more GCSE passes.
100% of our Girls go on to study in Further Education.
Our Progress 8 score of +1.60, is well above the National Average of -0.03.
For attainment, Iqra’s score of 56.4 is well above the National Average of 44.3.
In 2024, 89% of pass grades awarded to the School were Higher Grades (5+).

From this year’s 10,000+ entries for this National short story writing competition with the theme of ‘The Glitch’ Iqra Academy had no fewer than 15 winners. Congratulations to students and their teachers. All winners had their stories published, which can be seen in the British Library in London

Our Year 10 and 11 students had an incredible opportunity to speak with students from the University of Cambridge. This insightful session allowed them to learn firsthand about university life, study habits, and the journey to higher education

Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh Award Winners:

Iqra Academy became the first Girls School with an Islamic ethos in the Country, to run a Combined Cadet Force, which it proudly offers in partnership with the Thomas Deacon Academy.

In our third year as a Licensed Centre for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students successfully achieved the DofE Bronze & Silver Awards.

This year, 82% of students achieved 5 or more GCSE passes and nearly 50% of students achieved Higher grades in all Subjects including Mahreen Ali who achieved all her GCSE passes at grade 8+, 8 x grade 9, 2 x grade 8.

School Community and Volunteer Work:

All Students participate in School Community and Volunteering work. This year they provided a Soup Kitchen and venue for the Cities Homeless and Needy based at the School and worked with the ‘Lantern Initiative’ to educate and raise awareness on Mental Health issues.

The students arranged their own Charity day in School and raised £5,000 for the Palestine Humanitarian Appeal.
